This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to optimise the role of Diba’iyah and Al-Qur’an Education Centres (TPQ) in preserving local religious traditions in the Peterongan area. The Diba’iyah tradition, as part of Islamic cultural heritage, holds significant spiritual, social and educational value for the community, particularly the younger generation. However, with the passage of time, public interest and participation in these activities have tended to decline. The implementation methods of this PKM include a participatory approach through outreach, training, mentoring, and institutional strengthening of TPQs and Diba’iyah groups. The programme also integrates the teaching of Islamic values using approaches that are more engaging and contextually relevant for children and adolescents. The results of the activities indicate an increase in community participation, particularly among TPQ students, in Diba’iyah activities, as well as a greater understanding of local religious traditions. Furthermore, the formation of synergy between TPQ teachers, community leaders, and Diba’iyah groups serves as a key factor in ensuring the programme’s sustainability. Thus, optimising the roles of Diba’iyah and TPQ can serve as an effective strategy for preserving local religious traditions whilst strengthening the religious character of the younger generation in Peterongan.
