Abstract

By looking at Aguste Comte's positivist thoughts, there is such a big impact when mankind uses Aguste Comte's thinking, especially among Muslims. However, there are stages that must be passed by the community in general, these stages include; theological stage, metaphysical stage and positive stage. Comte's thoughts in fact awakened Muslims in any part of the world, which had been theological and metaphysical in nature, turned into positive ones. As was the case during the Turkish Islamic reform period led by Kemal Attatruk. Attatruk realized that theology and metaphysics did not bring development to the modern world so that his thoughts were turned upside down by Comte's thoughts. Revelasninya secular thought (Western thought) with Muslim thinking is very large in the Muslim community in the face of the Muslim ummah itself. Comte's pattern is progressive and Islamic thought in the modern era can bring fresh air to the world of Islamic Eastern thought. This shows that Muslims can apply the advantages of this positivism flow for the advancement of civilization in the current era.
