The learning of women's fiqh in Islamic boarding schools requires an appropriate approach to improve students' understanding of Islamic legal issues encountered in daily life. One of the approaches employed is Problem-Based Learning (PBL), a learning model that emphasizes problem-solving to encourage students' active participation. This study aims to describe the planning and implementation of PBL, analyze the improvement of students' understanding, and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation at Al-Amien Islamic Boarding School, Ambulu. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the implementation of PBL begins with systematic planning, followed by the presentation of contextual problems, individual analysis, argumentation, and collaborative discussion. The learning materials were based on the book Uyun al-Masail Linnisa’: Sumber Rujukan Permasalahan Wanita. The implementation of PBL enhanced students' understanding of women's fiqh, analytical skills, critical thinking, and their ability to apply Islamic law in daily life. Supporting factors included teacher competence, the availability of learning resources, and students' learning motivation, while inhibiting factors included differences in students' academic abilities, limited instructional time, and a lack of self-confidence.
Novia Nurul ImamahM Imam Bukhori

The growing popularity of spiritual trends such as manifesting and the law of attraction has revived philosophical debates concerning the relationship between human agency (ikhtiar) and divine destiny (takdir). Meanwhile, scholarly discussions of Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist have largely emphasized symbolic and humanistic perspectives, leaving its interpretation within the framework of Islamic theology relatively unexplored. This study aims to reinterpret the relationship between ikhtiar and takdir in the novel through Al-Ghazali's concept of kasb. Employing a qualitative library research approach, the study uses The Alchemist as the primary source, while Al-Ghazali's works and scholarly publications indexed in SINTA and Scopus serve as secondary sources. Data were analyzed by integrating the philosophical hermeneutics of Gadamer and Ricoeur with the conceptual framework of kasb. The findings indicate that Santiago's actions represent kasb as a form of human endeavor that remains subject to divine will. Furthermore, the concept of Maktub undergoes a contextual transformation from its Arab-Islamic theological horizon into global popular literature through the process of fusion of horizons. The study proposes the Ikhtiar–Kasb–Qudrah Hadithah–Maktub–Takdir–Existence model and introduces Kasb Hermeneutics as a novel interpretative approach for cross-cultural literary studies.
Fiki NursantiZainuddin Fanani

In today’s digital era, everyone can easily express their opinions through social media. However, this freedom is often misused, leading to harsh comments, slander, and hate speech. This article discusses the importance of guarding one’s speech and maintaining proper etiquette in commenting, based on Islamic teachings. In Islam, every word—spoken or written—carries moral responsibility and will be held accountable before Allah. The principle of “speaking good or remaining silent” serves as a fundamental guideline in all forms of communication, including online interactions. Through an analysis of verses from the Qur’an and Hadith, this article emphasizes that guarding one’s speech in the digital space is not only about politeness but also reflects one’s faith and character. By applying Islamic values in online communication, social media can become a medium for spreading goodness rather than a place for harm or conflict.
Evi FebrianiDinda Ramadani AmirDita PutriMuhamad KumaidiDwi Novfitriani Antoni PutriElsa Melinda Efani MNGCut Eva Novita Restu
