PENGGUNAAN KATA (DIKSI) YANG BAIK DAN BENAR DALAM PEMBELAJARAN AKIDAH AKHLAK DI MTs TAUFIQURRAHMAN LONGOS, GAPURA, SUMENEP

Abstract

Background: Language plays a crucial role in the teaching-and-learning process, particularly in the Akidah Akhlak course, which aims to develop students’ knowledge, attitudes, and moral character. The selection of appropriate words or diction is essential for conveying educational messages clearly, accurately, and effectively. Therefore, the use of proper and correct diction must be prioritized in Akidah Akhlak instruction. Objective: This study aims to examine the use of proper and correct diction in Akidah Akhlak instruction at MTs Taufiqurrahman Longos, Gapura, Sumenep. This study focuses on the definition of diction, the principles of its use in educational communication, its relevance to student characteristics, and its application in explaining concepts of Akidah and Akhlak. Method: This study employs a qualitative approach using library research. Data were obtained through a review of relevant books, scientific literature, and educational concepts related to diction, instructional communication, and Islamic moral education. The data were analyzed descriptively and analytically to explain the relevance of diction use in the Akidah Akhlak learning process. The research findings conceptually indicate that the selection of appropriate vocabulary can support students’ understanding of religious concepts, encourage constructive classroom interaction, and help teachers convey moral values through language that is clear, polite, contextual, and educational. However, this study has not yet included empirical findings regarding teaching practices at MTs Taufiqurrahman Longos, Gapura, Sumenep. Therefore, field observations and interviews are necessary to directly examine the use of vocabulary in practice and to test the relevance of the theoretical findings.
