PERAN GURU DALAM PEMBELAJARAN AKIDAH AKHLAK UNTUK MEMBENTUK PERILAKU DISIPLIN SISWA KELAS VIII DI MTsN 3 MOJOKERTO

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of teachers in Akidah Akhlak learning in shaping the disciplinary behavior of eighth-grade students at MTsN 3 Mojokerto and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the Akidah Akhlak teacher, the head of the madrasah, and eighth-grade students. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data credibility was examined through source triangulation. The findings show that the role of the Akidah Akhlak teacher has been implemented effectively through planning, learning implementation, and evaluation that integrate disciplinary values. The teacher applies habituation, exemplary behavior, advice, interactive lectures, discussion, and assignments connected with students’ daily discipline. Supporting factors include madrasah support, consistent teacher commitment, integrated religious programs, and parental involvement. Inhibiting factors include differences in family backgrounds, social media influences, and limited face-to-face instructional time. The study indicates that consistent teacher modeling and habituation, supported by madrasah policies and family cooperation, contribute to strengthening students’ disciplinary behavior.
