This study aims to reflect on the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Learning Strategies course among second-semester students at UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri, particularly the learning process, student problems, and alternatives for strengthening experience-based learning. This study employed a qualitative approach using field research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The results show that the course has implemented Student-Centered Learning and Contextual Teaching and Learning through paper writing, presentations, discussions, and learning simulations. However, students still face several problems, including predominantly textual understanding, limited field experience, inadequate presenter preparation, and low participation among some students. The learning reflection indicates the need to strengthen the relationship between theory and practice through Experiential Learning. Integrating field observations in schools or madrasahs with presentation assignments can provide concrete experiences, encourage reflection, strengthen analytical and problem-solving skills, and develop the pedagogical competence of prospective PAI teachers in a more contextual and applicable manner in actual educational practice.
