Abstract

The focus of this research is to describe what the meaning and principles of deep learning as well as the author's contribution of thought that can be used as a consideration of the characteristics or uniqueness of deep learning in Indonesia. This research method uses a qualitative approach with library research. The data sources are scientific texts analyzed using content analysis.Research results: 1. Deep learning is an approach that glorifies by emphasizing the creation of a mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning atmosphere and learning process through intellectual, ethical, aesthetic, and kinesthetic training in a holistic and integrated manner which is expected to realize 8 dimensions of graduate profiles including faith and piety towards God Almighty, citizenship, critical reasoning, creativity, collaboration, independence, health and communication. Deep Learning has three pillars of learning, namely mindful, meaningful and joyful learning. 2. (a) It is better if the Qur-any system is considered to be a national curriculum in Indonesia as a characteristic or uniqueness of deep learning in Indonesia because the Qur-any system is under the auspices of the national education foundation of the IMTAQ Educators Association (IPdI) Surabaya SK MENKUMHAM: AHU-06844.50.10.2014 Jln. Gayung Kebonsari XV/1, Surabaya. (b) It would be good if student books, in addition to textbooks, were also modified with pocket books like pocket books in the Qur-any, and could be developed for each subject at every level of education. (c) It would be good if educational institutions in Indonesia created the slogan “Pocket Book, SIM for Success” to realize the Great Indonesian Children movement number 5, love to learn.
