Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) aims to develop students who not only understand Islamic teachings conceptually but are also able to internalize and practice them in daily life. This article aims to examine the integration of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains in PAI learning materials based on recent literature. The study employed a qualitative systematic literature review guided by clearly formulated research questions to direct the process of searching, selecting, and analyzing relevant sources. Data were collected from academic journals, scholarly books, and related publications published between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate that PAI learning tends to emphasize the cognitive domain, while the affective and psychomotor domains are not yet optimally integrated into the organization of learning materials. The discussion highlights the importance of designing holistic and integrated PAI materials to bridge religious knowledge, attitudes, and practical application. The study concludes that integrating the three learning domains is a fundamental requirement for meaningful and transformative PAI learning, with significant implications for instructional design and Islamic education policy in schools.
