ethnic, religious, cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic diversity. This diversity is both an asset and a challenge, especially when multicultural issues and problems such as intolerance, discrimination, and social conflict arise. Islamic educational institutions have a strategic role in fostering moderate, inclusive, and socially just attitudes. This article aims to analyse the multicultural issues that have developed in society and the problems faced by Islamic educational institutions in managing this diversity. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive-analytical approach. The results of the study show that Islamic education has great potential in instilling multicultural attitudes through strengthening the curriculum, school culture, and the exemplary behaviour of educators. Efforts that can be made by Islamic educational institutions in instilling multicultural attitudes in students include a) integrating multicultural values into the Islamic education curriculum, b) instilling an attitude of religious moderation (wasathiyah), c) developing an inclusive and democratic school culture, d) improving teacher competence in multicultural education, e) making the values of the Qur'an and Sunnah the basis of social ethics.
