This article aims to reveal the obstacles in learning the Qur'an and Hadith using audio-visual media in MTs. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers, eighth-grade students, and the principal of the madrasah. The results of the study show that there are three main types of obstacles: technical, pedagogical, and psychological. Technical obstacles include limited facilities such as projectors and speakers, as well as technical problems with the equipment. Pedagogical obstacles were found in the incompatibility of video material with student characteristics and levels of understanding. Meanwhile, psychological obstacles were evident in the students' lack of attention, confidence, and motivation to learn during the learning process. Nevertheless, teachers continued to overcome these obstacles through further explanations, varied methods, and active interaction. This study concluded that the effectiveness of audio-visual media is greatly influenced by the readiness of the equipment, the pedagogical abilities of the teachers, and an approach that takes into account the students' psychology.
