The Aqidah Akhlak subject plays a central role in shaping students' character, but its effectiveness now faces complex challenges due to moral disruption in the digital era and the gap between curriculum idealism and the reality of student behavior. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the curriculum, formulate an optimal integrative learning model, and develop an accountable evaluation system in the context of the Independent Curriculum. This study uses a Qualitative-Evaluative approach with a library research method enriched with content analysis of curriculum documents and the latest scientific literature for the 2024–2025 period. The results show that the traditional learning model (lecture) is no longer relevant for developing 21st-century skills. The effectiveness of Aqidah Akhlak learning is significantly determined by the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model and the integration of digital technology that can visualize abstract concepts and encourage the internalization of values. In addition, this study recommends a shift in the evaluation system from a purely cognitive-based to a holistic evaluation using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model. The CIPP model is considered the most comprehensive for measuring the achievement of the Pancasila Student Profile through observations of actual behavior in the school and community environment. In conclusion, strengthening student character requires a synergy between adaptive curriculum design, innovative pedagogy, and multi-method assessments oriented toward behavior change.
