Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of social media in enhancing Islamic values among converts being mentored at the Mojowarno Office of Religious Affairs (KUA). As individuals who have recently embraced Islam, converts require ongoing guidance to enable them to fully understand and internalise Islamic teachings. In the current digital age, social media has become a strategic tool in the process of da’wah and religious education. This study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with converts at the Mojowarno KUA, participatory observation, and documentation of mentoring activities conducted via social media. The research findings indicate that social media platforms such as WhatsApp, YouTube, and Facebook are utilised as effective tools for religious learning, whether in the form of online study sessions, video sermons, or religious discussions. Social media also strengthens the connection between converts and mentors, and enhances the spiritual motivation of converts in practising Islamic teachings. Thus, social media plays a significant role in supporting the process of Islamic guidance for converts at the Mojowarno KUA.
