These conditions require a leadership model that is not only oriented toward managerial effectiveness but also grounded in moral and spiritual values. This article aims to examine and formulate an Islamic values-based leadership model as a response to organizational challenges in contemporary educational institutions. This study employs a qualitative approach using a library research design. Primary data sources include the Qur’an and Hadith, while secondary data are derived from scholarly books, journal articles, and relevant previous studies on Islamic leadership and educational management. Data analysis was conducted through descriptive-analytical methods, including data reduction, concept categorization, and interpretative analysis. The findings indicate that fundamental Islamic leadership values—such as trustworthiness (amanah), justice, deliberation (shura), responsibility, and exemplary conduct—are highly relevant in addressing modern educational organizational challenges. The implementation of these values contributes to strengthening institutional vision, improving the quality and effectiveness of decision-making, fostering an ethical and healthy organizational culture, and supporting the holistic and sustainable development of students’ character. This article concludes that Islamic values-based leadership constitutes a strategic and applicable alternative for managing Islamic educational institutions in the face of twenty-first-century complexities
Ardyanto Ardyanto, Abdul Wahid Wandana, Ahmad Bayhaqi, Much Hasan Darojat, Samiyono Samiyono, Maya Yunus Copyright (c) 2026 Ardyanto Ardyanto, Abdul Wahid Wandana, Ahmad Bayhaqi, Much Hasan Darojat, Samiyono Samiyono, Maya Yunus http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/al-idaroh/article/view/2845 Mon, 30 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Teori Budaya dalam Organisasi Landasan Nilai untuk Efektivitas dan Keberlanjutan Lembaga https://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/al-idaroh/article/view/2855
This study aims to examine the theory of organizational culture and its implementation in the context of Islamic educational institutions. Organizational culture is understood as a system of values, norms, symbols, and practices that shape the identity and influence the behavior of organizational members. Through a qualitative approach using library research methods, this study highlights how Islamic values such as trustworthiness, sincerity, justice, and brotherhood are internalized in the structures, policies, and daily practices of educational institutions. Organizational culture theories such as the models of Edgar Schein and Geert Hofstede, as well as structural-functional, symbolic interactionism, and institutional approaches are used as an analytical framework. The results of the study indicate that a strong organizational culture aligned with the Islamic vision can increase organizational effectiveness, strengthen communication, and facilitate ethical and inclusive decision-making. However, challenges such as internal resistance, limited resources, and a mismatch between symbols and practices remain obstacles in the process of cultural transformation. Therefore, strategies for strengthening culture through exemplary leadership, value training, cultural symbolization, and regular evaluation are key to building an adaptive and sustainable organizational culture. The increasing demands of higher education institutions and the labor market have placed substantial pressure on secondary schools to produce graduates who possess not only academic competencies but also research literacy and critical thinking skills. Research-based curriculum management represents an innovative educational approach that integrates inquiry-driven learning, evidence-based pedagogical practices, and systematic curriculum evaluation into school governance. This qualitative case study was conducted over five months with 23 participants including school principals, curriculum coordinators, teachers, and students, supplemented by document analysis and classroom observations. Triangulation of sources and member checking ensured data credibility. Findings reveal that MA NU Al Mustaqim has implemented a three-phased research-based curriculum management model encompassing planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. Key outcomes include measurable improvements in students' critical thinking dispositions, enhanced teacher professional competency through action research, increased graduate acceptance rates at reputable higher education institutions (34% through SNBP in 2023 compared to 18% in 2021), and stronger school accreditation performance. Challenges identified include limited research infrastructure, insufficient teacher training in research methodology, curriculum overload concerns, and the need for stronger stakeholder alignment. This study contributes to the growing literature on curriculum innovation in Indonesian Islamic secondary schools and offers practical implications for educational policymakers and school administrators seeking to enhance institutional quality through research-integrated governance frameworks.
Mohammad Nashih, Sukarman, Haryanto Copyright (c) 2026 Mohammad Nashih, Sukarman Sukarman, Haryanto Haryanto http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/al-idaroh/article/view/3171 Mon, 30 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Strategi Guru dalam Mengatasi Kejenuhan Belajar Siswa Melalui Pemanfaatan Media Pembelajaran Digital di MTs Masalikil Huda Tahunan https://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/al-idaroh/article/view/3172
Learning burnout significantly challenges junior high school students, especially within Islamic boarding-school-based environments (madrasahs) dealing with text-heavy religious subjects. This study aims to explore teachers' instructional strategies in mitigating learning burnout through digital learning media integration at MTs Masalikil Huda Tahunan, Jepara. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through semi-structured interviews, passive classroom observations, and documentation. Informants were selected via purposive sampling, consisting of subject teachers, curriculum coordinators, school counselors, and representatives of affected students. The collected data were analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña’s interactive model, encompassing data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that learning burnout was primarily driven by the cognitive gap between students' dynamic digital consumption habits outside school and monotone expository lecturing methods inside the classroom. To address this, teachers formulated targeted instructional strategies by integrating gamified platforms, deploying interactive digital pocketbooks, and converting the school's proprietary e-learning ecosystem into interactive discussion forums. These interventions effectively restored students' emotional engagement and enhanced cognitive memory retention by offering refreshing and immersive learning stimuli. Although well-supported by robust school broadband infrastructure, teachers faced ongoing challenges, including digital distractions in the classroom and a rising dependency on visual stimuli among students. This study concludes that the long-term efficacy of digital media in overcoming psychological fatigue relies heavily on a balanced pedagogical blend between cyber exploration and traditional deep reading comprehension.
Mohammad Nashih, Sukarman, Mustaqim Copyright (c) 2026 mohammad, Sukarman Sukarman, Mustaqim Mustaqim http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/al-idaroh/article/view/3172 Mon, 30 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Refleksi Kepala Madrasah dalam Kebijakan Pendidikan di Madrasah Nidaaul Ummah Al-Islamiyah Ciracas Jakarta Timur https://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/al-idaroh/article/view/3208
The madrasah principal holds a strategic role in determining the direction and quality of education through a series of reflectively formulated, implemented, and evaluated policies.
