Employing a comparative multi-site case study qualitative approach, this research compares two PAI implementation models: the Formal-Regulatory model at SMK Negeri 12 and the Internalization-Transcendental model at SMK Swasta Angkasa. The Formal-Regulatory model, based on government regulations and emphasizing sanctions, tends to produce temporary KDR and compliance-based adherence. Student compliance with digital communication, interaction, and content ethics is vulnerable to not being sustainable outside the school environment. Conversely, the Internalization-Transcendental model, which leverages cultural autonomy and instills the value of muraqabah (awareness of divine omnipresence) as its foundation, proves more effective in fostering intrinsic and sustainable KDR. The awareness of muraqabah strengthens students' Akidah dimension, forms Digital Self-Regulation, and integrates digital ethics as part of worship, manifested in Digital Sobriety and Tabayyun rooted in faith. This study affirms that muraqabah is a critical transversal variable determining the quality of KDR internalization. Theoretically, this study enriches the discourse on PAI, digital ethics, and transcendental character education, particularly highlighting muraqabah as a spiritual foundation for Self-Control. Practically, these findings provide contextual references for the development of value-based and spiritually grounded digital literacy strategies relevant for VHS students.
2026-01-26T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Wawan Setiawan, Endi Suhendihttps://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2668Institutionalizing Religious Habituation Through Lecture SOPs: A Qualitative Study of Student Character Formation 2025-12-18T20:04:05+00:00Laily Farihatul Izzalailyfarichatulizza@gmail.comEva Fauziahevaf016@gmail.comNovita Dwi Astutinovitanda18@gmail.comEnda Tomiatomiaenda@gmail.comAin Fahiyanaainfhyn02@gmail.com2026-01-27T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Laily Farihatul Izza, Eva Fauziah, Novita Dwi Astuti, Enda Tomia, Ain Fahiyanahttps://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2728Improvement Strategy Sustainability in LMS- Based Islamic Religious Education Learning: An Approach, Measurement, Holistic, and Revision Systematic 2025-12-17T20:12:59+00:00Bidayatul Hubbil Iffahbidayatulhubbiliffa@gmail.comsadiyahummu427@gmail.comlilissyifayah269@gmail.comLailatul Fitria Fitria lailatulfitriaunwaha@gmail.comAlaika M. Employing a qualitative approach with a multi-site comparative design, the research explores how different organizational cultures and management models influence program outcomes. SMKN 12 Bandung utilizes a decentralized model, granting autonomy to students through Rohis, which fosters responsibility but struggles with attendance consistency and spiritual internalization depth due to dense practical schedules and minimal control. In contrast, SMKS Angkasa Husein Bandung implements a centralized, disciplinary model that ensures order and consistent attendance but risks creating ritualism and feelings of compulsion among students. The findings highlight that effective religious character formation requires a harmonious balance between external discipline and internal awareness. An optimal model should combine consistent implementation with mechanisms for deep reflection and student autonomy, avoiding scenarios where control without autonomy leads to superficial practice, or autonomy without control compromises quality. The study suggests tailored improvements for each school, emphasizing structured supervision for SMKN 12 and greater student initiative with richer religious content for SMKS Angkasa Husein.
2026-02-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Agus Kusnandar, Iskandar Mirzahttps://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2856The Impact Of Polygamy Marriage Practices on the Family2026-01-20T07:36:31+00:00Dendik Irawandendikirawan@gmail.comBudi Parmonobudiparmono@unisma.ac.idMoh. This research employs a qualitative approach, with a conceptual and case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving polygamy practitioners, community leaders, and related parties. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that polygamy practices in Paciran vary, ranging from open to covert arrangements. Normatively, polygamy is perceived as permissible in Islamic law under strict conditions of justice and financial capability. However, in practice, polygamy tends to generate more negative impacts than positive ones, particularly affecting the psychological well-being of wives and children, including jealousy, emotional instability, domestic conflict, and declining family harmony. Nevertheless, a limited number of families demonstrate relative stability through equitable treatment and effective communication. This study highlights that polygamy requires strong psychological, economic, and moral readiness to prevent broader social and familial harm.
2026-02-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Dendik Irawan, Budi Parmono, Moh. This study analyzes the dynamics of IRE's existence and formulates a synergistic model to strengthen student character development through a Literature Review of 13 selected articles using a Critical Content Analysis lens. Findings reveal that technical challenges include limited instructional time and overlapping values across subjects. Meanwhile, more fundamental ideological challenges stem from the epistemological dichotomy between religious and general sciences and the dominance of transmissive teaching ("banking education"). Consequently, this study proposes the Theme-Based Reciprocal Synergy Model. This model positions IRE and general subjects in a dialogical relationship through cross-subject thematic integration, pedagogical collaboration (team teaching), and holistic character assessment via portfolios. Theoretically, it strengthens the paradigm of knowledge integration, while practically providing an applicable operational framework for character education within the national curriculum by considering teacher administration policy reforms.
2026-02-16T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Marwal Blantara Susetyo, Agus Fakhruddinhttps://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2871Approval Of Sirri Marriage From The Perspective Of Islamic Law And State Law And Its Influence On The Position Of Wife, Children, And Property2026-02-03T06:06:31+00:00Chafidzul Hakim Noerhafidhakiem@gmail.comDahlan Thamrindahlanthamrin@unisma.ac.idBudi Parmonobudiparmono@unisma.ac.id
Unregistered marriage (nikah sirri) is a complex legal phenomenon in Indonesia, as it is considered valid under Islamic law but not recognized by state law due to a lack of registration. This research aims to analyze the impact of unregistered marriages on the status of wives, children, and property from the perspectives of Islamic law and Indonesian positive law. The method used is normative juridical research with conceptual, legislative, and fiqh approaches. Primary data sources include Law Number 1 of 1974 on Marriage, the Compilation of Islamic Law, and the Quran and Hadith, while secondary data are derived from relevant academic literature. The findings show that according to Islamic law, an unregistered marriage that fulfills the pillars and requirements is valid, thus wives, children, and property have the same status as registered marriages. However, under Indonesian positive law, unregistered marriages have no legal force because they are not registered at the Office of Religious Affairs or Civil Registry Office, resulting in wives lacking legal protection of their rights, children only having civil relations with their mothers, and joint property cannot be submitted to court without marriage confirmation (itsbat nikah). This research recommends the need for socialization on the importance of marriage registration and stricter law enforcement to protect the rights of women and children.
2026-02-18T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Chafidzul Hakim Noer, Dahlan Thamrin, Budi Parmonohttps://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2887Evaluation of the Distance Learning Learning Model of the Priority Program of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia2026-02-09T07:32:10+00:00Moh. Elementary schools, as the foundation of formal education, have a strategic role in instilling moral, spiritual, and social values in an integrated manner. This study aims to analyze the implementation and effectiveness of Islamic values-based character education at SD Negeri No. 107463 Paya Pasir. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews with the principal and teachers, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing with source triangulation to ensure data validity. The results showed that character education based on Islamic values was implemented in an integrated manner through classroom learning, habit-forming activities, school culture, and extracurricular programs. This implementation is quite effective in shaping students' character, especially in terms of religiosity, honesty, discipline, responsibility, social awareness, leadership, and ethical decision-making skills in everyday life. The success of the program is supported by teachers' exemplary behavior, consistent religious habits, reinforcement of rules and behavior monitoring, and a conducive school climate. However, the study also found challenges in the form of differences in the family backgrounds of students, which affected the consistency of character behavior. These findings confirm that Islamic values-based character education in public elementary schools has strong potential to shape ethical and responsible behavior, provided that there is continuous synergy between schools and families.
2026-02-23T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Amini Amini, Muhammad Azam Purba, Indra Prasetiahttps://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2868Strengthening Academic Digitalization Policies to Enhance Student Service Quality at State Islamic Universities2026-01-30T08:10:04+00:00Muh. Hambalihambalimuh73@gmail.com
The strengthening of academic digitalization policies is a process of improving student services through the utilization of digital technology. Student academic activities encompassing learning, research, and academic administration are facilitated by digital platforms to help ensure the quality of graduates. These fundamental needs can transform services for the better, provided that digital infrastructure, specifically internet networks, servers, applications, and data security, is well-established. Conversely, if these basic services fail to meet quality standards, it will result in a decline in student quality. In this context, strengthening policies to undertake digital transformation in order to fulfill student academic services is a timely and strategic breakthrough. This study aims to critically analyze the strengthening of academic digitalization amidst the era of disruption, specifically at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, in enhancing student quality. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data were obtained through in-depth interviews, documentation studies, and participant observation. The primary data sources consist of institutional documents, particularly those concerning the strengthening of academic digitalization policies. The research results indicate that strengthening academic digitalization policies contributes significantly to maximizing service quality through the implementation of 'new ways of working.' This is achieved through digital innovation for academic and administrative efficiency, accountable budget allocation within the RKAKL to expand service access, and the university's mission to integrate science and Islam across all learning policies and administrative services for students. These findings confirm that leadership policy reinforcement through digital technology can address internal challenges while simultaneously enhancing the competitive quality of UIN graduates in the global arena.
2026-02-23T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Muh. Linguistic errors, inconsistent terminology, poor readability, and ambiguous instructions can hinder student comprehension and increase cognitive load. This study aims to evaluate the linguistic suitability of fifth-grade Arabic textbooks published by Nur Hidayah Press in accordance with the guidelines set by the Education Curriculum and Assessment Standards Agency (BSKAP). This research uses a qualitative descriptive methodology through library research. Data were collected through documentation methods by analyzing the linguistic elements of the textbooks, including grammatical accuracy, terminology consistency, sentence clarity, and linguistic simplicity, using twelve linguistic feasibility metrics provided by BSKAP. The results showed that the textbook received a total score of 35 out of 48 (72,92%), categorized as acceptable. Although it generally complied with language standards, there were several shortcomings in terminology consistency, sentence complexity, and instruction clarity. Specific language changes are needed to improve readability, consistency, and instruction clarity for better learning outcomes.
2026-02-25T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Jovial Elitahari, Naifah Naifahhttps://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2894Strengthening The Religious Character Education Program For Students Through Islamic Values2026-02-13T11:09:27+00:00Fitriyadi Purbafitriyadipurba41@gmail.comIndra Prasetiaindraprasetia@umsu.ac.idAmini Aminiamini@umsu.ac.id2026-02-25T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Fitriyadi Purba, Indra Prasetia, Amini Aminihttps://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2862The Use of the Course Review Horay Learning Model with Bingo Media to Improve Students' Understanding of Islamic Religious Education Learning Materials2026-01-28T12:16:36+00:00Indri Retno Wijayantiindriretno10@upi.eduMokh. However, the PAI learning process in schools still tends to be teacher-centered, so students' understanding of the material has not developed optimally. This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' understanding and to determine students' responses to the application of the Course Review Horay (CRH) learning model with Bingo media in IRE learning. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 41 ninth-grade students at one of the public junior high schools in Bandung Regency. Data collection techniques were carried out through understanding tests and student response questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and N-Gain analysis. The results showed an increase in students' understanding after the application of the CRH learning model with Bingo media. The average pretest score of 76.83 increased to 87.80 in the posttest, and all students achieved learning mastery. The Wilcoxon test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores (Asymp. Sig. 0.000 < 0.05), while the N-Gain results were in the moderate category. In addition to improving understanding, this study also provided a positive response to the implementation of this learning model, although several obstacles were still encountered in the initial stages of implementation and student learning independence. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Course Review Horay learning model using Bingo media is effective in improving student understanding and is suitable for use in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning with improvements in the management of learning implementation.
2026-02-27T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Indri Retno Wijayanti, Mokh. The main focus of the study is to identify how categories of knowledge, standards of truth, and scholarly authority regarding Islam are formed, institutionalised, and reproduced in modern academic traditions. The research uses a qualitative method based on a literature study with a historical-critical approach to academic texts from three traditions: classical Orientalists, post-Orientalist thinkers, and Muslim scholars. The data are analysed comparatively to trace patterns of continuity and transformation of epistemic categories used in Islamic studies. The results show that modern Islamic studies operate within the framework of epistemic categories such as objectivity, historicism, textual criticism, and scientific methodology rooted in Western scientific traditions. Islamic scientific traditions tend to gain academic legitimacy to the extent that they can be translated or harmonised with these categories. The dominance of Orientalism is therefore not only a historical legacy but also works structurally through the university system, curriculum, and mechanisms of publication and global scientific legitimacy. This study contributes by systematically mapping these epistemic mechanisms, thereby expanding the analysis of Orientalism from the level of discourse representation to the level of operational structures in contemporary academic practice
2026-03-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Ahmad Hidir Amin, Hamdanah Hamdanah, Mazrur Mazrurhttps://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/28862026-02-27T04:44:04+00:00Khoirul Ismahkhoirulismah05@gmail.comUswatun Chasanahuswatunkhasanah6815@gmail.comAyep Rosidirosidi.ayep@gmail.com2026-03-05T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Khoirul Ismah, Uswatun Chasanah, Ayep Rosidihttps://pondokjurnal.uwj.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2769Implementation Of Islamic Religious Education Through Religious Culture In Schools2026-01-05T21:08:11+00:00Indra Iskandarindraiskandar@uninus.ac.idFitriyani Kosasihfitriyanikosasih@uninus.ac.id
This study investigates the implementation of Islamic Religious Education through religious culture in two public schools with distinct characteristics: SMAN 9 Garut (general senior high school) and SMKN 7 Garut (vocational high school).
